Our Impact
Since 2021, the Spark Change Project Peer Facilitators have developed a policy agenda, hosted Town Halls and issue forums with their peers, planned and hosted Spark Change Day with community activists and legislators, hosted Spark Change Camp, where they teach their peers the tools of activism, and testified at both the 87th and 88th Texas Legislative sessions. Looking BACK
In 2021, three girls from the Spark Change Project provided numerous testimonies at the 87th Legislative Session. Watch Allison Fernandez as she testifies to the Texas State Affairs Committee against SB 3 about ensuring marginalized communities are reflected in school curriculum.
